You don’t meet people by accident… I’m convinced!

Some connections happen quietly and settle into your life before you even realize their significance. A simple conversation turns into something that stays with you longer than you’d ever expected. A person crosses your path and immediately feels familiar, even though you can’t explain why.

Other connections happen with force. They disrupt your routine and they challenge the way you see yourself. They bring old ways and patterns out and expose areas that still need healing. None of that happens by chance.

I used to believe certain people that showed up in my life were coincidences. That belief protected me from having to look too closely at what they were really trying to show me. Over time, I learned that every important connection carried a purpose. It wasn’t always a positive one, but it was always definitely intentional.

Some people teach you what respect and consistency look like.
Some people show you where your boundaries are too loose.
Some people reopen wounds you thought were healed.
Some people appear only to start a new chapter within you.

Not everyone you meet is meant to stay in your life forever.

That was difficult for me to swallow. I held onto connections and friendships longer than I should’ve because I confused comfort with purpose. When those relationships ended, I saw them as failures. But with time, distance, and honesty, I realized they had just run its course.

Every interaction with someone leaves something behind. It might be knowledge or wisdom. It might be clarity and understanding. It might be the courage you need to make different choices next time. It might just be an honest opinion of yourself. Something gets left behind.

If you’re questioning a connection right now, slow down and pay attention. Notice how this person affects your peace. Notice what they bring out in you. Ask yourself whether the connection is helping you grow or teaching you how to let go.

Light doesn’t always come as comfort. Sometimes it comes as understanding.

That is enough for today. See you tomorrow!

Jeff
