Take a moment to pause before moving on with your day. Notice your breathing. Notice the space around you. You do not need to fix anything right now. This check in is about awareness, not judgment.

Ask yourself how you have really been feeling beneath the noise and the busyness. Pay attention to what comes up when things get quiet. The emotions that surface in stillness are often the ones that need the most care.

Use these questions to gently check in with yourself today.

Check In Questions

  1. What emotion is most present for me right now when everything is quiet

  2. What have I been distracting myself from feeling lately

  3. Where in my life do I need to slow down instead of pushing harder

  4. What does my mind or body need from me today

  5. What would it look like to give myself permission to sit with my feelings without fixing them

Take your time with these. You are not behind. You are learning how to listen to yourself again.

Grounding Exercise - Pause and Notice

Find a comfortable position and let your shoulders drop. Take a slow breath in through your nose for four seconds. Hold it for two. Then exhale slowly through your mouth for six seconds. Do this two more times.

Now, quietly notice five things you can hear around you. Let the sounds exist without labeling them as good or bad. Just notice.

Next, notice where your body feels tense. Do not try to fix it. Simply acknowledge it. As you breathe out, imagine that tension softening even slightly.

Finish by reminding yourself that you are safe in this moment. Nothing needs to be solved right now. You are allowed to be still.
